Your Worksafe Insurer will cover the bulk amount of your physiotherapy treatments here at Viva. In order to maintain a high level of service and uphold our 30-minute duration appointment times, we require you to pay a gap.

If your workplace is self-insured, they may either cover the Worksafe scheduled amount, or the entire cost – please speak to them directly to clarify. Our accounts department will liaise directly with all the major insurers so you’re only responsible for covering the gap – no paperwork or extra things to chase up.

Please note however that the gap payment needs to be fixed up on the day, and is not coverable by private health insurance. You must remember your claim number when you come to visit (at least for the first time!) We do not charge a gap on classes.

It’s important that you also bring your date of injury since if you are seeking treatment for an injury which was sustained less than 7 months ago, your coverage will be higher than if the injury was sustained greater than 7 months ago.

If you have suffered an injury whilst on the roads in Victoria, you may be entitled to assistance with the cost of your physiotherapy. At Viva, we are dedicated to treating and curing victims of such accidents.

All our physiotherapists are qualified and registered to treat TAC clients.

Your initial treatment may consist of massage, mobilization, dry needling, stretching and advice.  Many people who undergo rehabilitation for a car accident also use exercise, hydrotherapy or Pilates to assist their recovery. We specialize in the area of exercise for rehabilitation and can advise you of the best and quickest path to recovery. We even have a fully equipped Clinical Pilates studio to help you along the way.

EPC or Enhanced Primary Care, is a Medicare initiative which allows GP’s to refer patients to Allied Health services for a rebated cost if you have a chronic medical condition. Medicare cardholders are entitled to 5 of these sessions every calendar year.

These sessions can be a mixture of Allied Health services physiotherapy, podiatry, exercise physiology or dietician for example. Once you have used your 5 Allied Health sessions in a 12-month period, any subsequent consults will be fully paid by yourself.

In order to maintain a high level of service and uphold our 30-minute duration appointment times, we require you to pay a gap. However, please note that the gap is not covered by private health insurance.

We require you to pay the full consultation cost up front, and then we will electronically lodge your claim after your payment. You will receive your rebate into your bank account- no paperwork to chase up! The first time you visit please bring your Care Plan, signed and dated by your doctor, so that we can process your rebate as soon as possible.

The Medicare pricing schedule works as follows:

• Initial Appointment: Code 10960 / Cost $140.00
  Rebate: $56.00. Initial appointment gap: $84.00
• Follow up Appointment Code 10960 / Cost $95.00
  Rebate: $56.00. Follow Up Consultation Gap: $39.00

We kindly ask for one business day / 24 hours notice to cancel your appointment; otherwise, 50% of the consultation fee will be charged. This can be waived if you can attend an alternative appointment with any of our physios available within 48 of your original appointment time.

If you don’t arrive, your appointment will be charged 50% of the appointment fee.
