PHYSIO AT VIVA

Viva started as a physiotherapy practice, and physio is still the core of what we do. We’re a hands-on clinic – literally. Each of our physiotherapists has been picked for their friendliness, clinical experience, and impeccable qualifications. You’re in good hands here.

We put a big focus on long-term wellness. A lot of clinics treat pain, but not people: they don’t get to the underlying mechanical cause of the problem. Our team takes a more investigative approach. Once we know what’s causing the pain, we can make sure it doesn’t come back.

WHAT TO EXPECT

The Viva philosophy is simple: we like to take our time. You can’t rush good physiotherapy. It’s why our appointments last a little longer than the average clinic. We take the time to study your history, diagnose the problem, and tailor a plan to get you moving.

HOW CAN WE HELP YOU?

I AM IN PAIN

In our classes, for pain relief, we generally recommend our Clinical Movement stream. It’s our most focused and targeted program. The first step is booking an individual assessment with your physio – they’ll examine your injury, diagnose the problem, and recommend a particular set of clinical exercises. Once we’ve got the pain under control, you can move to the next step: restoring strength and flexibility in Viva Strong or Pilates Mat classes.

Need more flexibility? Maybe look into Therapeutic Yoga. Training for a marathon? We offer specialised Running classes. If you want to build back your strength, Viva Strong can help

I AM PREGNANT

Which movement class is right for your pregnancy often comes down to timing. If you’re still under 16 weeks, you can look into our Pilates Mat classes. Sometimes we’ll recommend Clinical Movement classes, particularly when treating a specific injury. But for most pregnant women, our Stay Fit In Pregnancy classes are the best way to build strength, improve your posture, and keep healthy.

I WANT TO GET STRONGER

Most people think you need an injury before seeing a physio. But the truth is, anyone who’s exercising can benefit from our Clinical Movement classes. We start these in the Restore phase: checking your biomechanics and technique, preventing little muscular niggles, and designing a program around your physical goals, before moving you into the Perform phase. If you have a specific goal you want to achieve, such as strength, flexibility or core strength, there’s a number of other ways to tackle this, including Viva Strong, Therapeutic Yoga or Pilates Mat classes.
